Throttle Position Sensor

The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is a variable resistor that is used to reflect changes in throttle valve angle. One terminal of the TPS is connected to a 5-volt source from the ECM, and another to ground. The third wire is connected to the ECM to measure voltage changes from the TPS.
