Remote Keyless Entry System: Description

The Remote Keyless Entry system is designed to be operated by a portable battery operated transmitter. The transmitter sends digitally encoded radio signals to the module when a button is pushed. The transmitter range is approximately 23 feet (7 meters). The following circuits are controlled by the remote keyless entry system: illuminated entry lights (if equipped), door locks (all doors or just driver's), theft deterrent system (if equipped), and luggage compartment lid release.
