Door Lock Relay Assembly Test
- Ensure door lock relay assembly connector is connected. Using a voltmeter, backprobe door lock relay assembly connector between terminal "C" (Orange/Black wire) and ground. If less than battery voltage is present, check Orange/Black wire for an open or short to ground. If wiring is okay, check circuit breaker No. 4.
- If battery voltage is present, use a voltmeter to backprobe door lock relay assembly connector between terminals "C" (Orange/Black wire) and "D" (Black wire). If less than battery voltage is present, check Black wire for an open circuit.
- If battery voltage is present, use a voltmeter to backprobe door lock relay assembly connector between terminals "A" (Light Blue wire) and "D" (Black wire). Hold left front door lock switch in LOCK position. If less than battery voltage is present, check Light Blue wire for an open or short circuit to ground. If wiring is okay, check left front door lock switch connector for good terminal contact. If wiring and connector are okay, replace switch.
- If battery voltage is present, use a voltmeter to backprobe door lock relay assembly connector between terminals "F" (Black wire) and "D" (Black wire). Hold left front door lock switch in UNLOCK position. If less than battery voltage is present, check Black wire for an open or short circuit to ground. If wire is okay, check left front door lock switch connector for good terminal contact. If wiring and connector are okay, replace switch.
- If battery voltage is present, use a voltmeter to backprobe door lock relay assembly connector between terminals "B" (Gray wire) and "E" (Black wire). Move left door lock switch to LOCK and UNLOCK positions.
- If less than battery voltage is present at one or both switch positions, check door lock relay assembly connector for good terminal contact. If okay, replace door lock relay assembly.
- If battery voltage is present for both switch positions, check door motor wiring for an open circuit. Check in-line connectors and door lock motor connectors for good terminal contact. If wiring and connectors are okay, replace suspect door lock motor.
