Front Door Lock Switch Output Test

  1. Disconnect front door lock switch 3-pin connector. Ensure battery voltage is present at connector terminal "B" (Orange wire). If battery voltage is not present, check relay center fuse No. 3 and Orange wire for an open or short circuit to ground.
  2. If battery voltage is present, momentarily connect a fused jumper wire between connector Black wire and Orange wire. Doors should unlock. If doors do not unlock, check Black wire for an open circuit.
  3. If doors unlock, momentarily connect a fused jumper wire between connector Orange wire and Light Blue wire. Doors should lock. If doors do not lock, check Light Blue wire for an open circuit.
  4. If all checks are okay, check suspect door lock switch connector for good terminal contact. If connector(s) and terminals are okay, replace door lock switch.
