Left Front Door Isolation Relay Test

  1. Remove left front door isolation relay. Ensure battery voltage is present at relay terminal No. 5 (Orange wire). If battery voltage is not present, check Orange wire for an open or short to ground. If wire is okay, check relay center fuse No. 3.
  2. If battery voltage is present, momentarily connect a fused jumper wire between relay connector terminals No. 1 (Tan wire) and No. 5 (Orange wire). All doors except driver's door should unlock. If doors do not unlock as specified, check Tan wire for an open circuit.
  3. If doors unlock as specified, connect a test light between relay terminals No. 2 (Tan wire) and No. 5 (Orange wire). Press transmitter UNLOCK button. Test light should flash once. If test light does not flash once, check Tan wire for an open circuit and RAC module connector for good terminal contact. If both are okay, replace RAC module. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  . Program new RAC. Refer to PROGRAMMING  . If all testing is okay, replace left front door isolation relay.
