New BCM Setup

NOTE: Following procedure is written specifically for Tech 2 scan tool. A generic scan tool may not be capable of performing all necessary reprogramming functions.
NOTE: After programming new BCM, go to THEFT DETERRENT RELEARN  .
  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Input all required vehicle data as prompted by scan tool. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. When MAIN MENU is displayed, select SPECIAL FUNCTIONS. Select SETUP NEW BCM. Select SETUP BCM.
  2. After completing new BCM setup procedure, perform THEFT DETERRENT RELEARN  procedure. If theft deterrent relearn procedure is not performed, vehicle will not be protected against theft by Passlock(tm) system and engine will not start.
