Fourteen digit number stamped on engine block in location listed below. First two digits designate manufacturing plant, following three digits  indicate engine displacement. Sixth  digit indicates engine type as follows: R  - Regular Fuel. L  - Low Compression. P  - Premium Fuel recommended. S  - Special Engine.
