Secondary Air Supply System: Description

This system supplies additional air into exhaust manifold or thermal reactor to aid in the more complete combustion of exhaust gases. A reed valve (located at front of cylinder head 1600 cc or on top of timing chain cover 2000 cc) is actuated by exhaust port pressure pulsations and allows additional air to be drawn into exhaust manifold or thermal reactor from the air cleaner.
