Intermittent Relay
- If wipers do not park or operate properly in intermittent position, turn wipers on to intermittent. Insert positive lead of voltmeter into rear of relay connector at terminal 3 and check voltage. Battery voltage should be present when wipers are stopped and no voltage when wipers are operating. If not, replace relay.

- If wipers do not operate at all in intermittent position, connect a voltmeter to relay. Place the positive lead on terminal 1 and negative lead on terminal 4. If battery voltage should be present. Check voltage between terminal 6 and 4, then between 3 and 4. No voltage should be present. If readings are not correct, replace relay.
- If wipers do not operate with washer switch on, check for voltage between terminal 1 (+) and terminal 4 (-). Battery voltage should be present. With the washer switch on, no voltage should be present at terminal 5. Terminal 3 should have battery voltage for 0.6-1.5 seconds, then drop to zero while wipers operate, then return to 1 2 volts when wipers stop. If readings are not correct, replace relay.
