Coolant Sensor Test

  1. Turn ignition off and disconnect wire connector from sensor. Connect one ohmmeter lead to one sensor terminal and the other lead to remaining sensor terminal.
  2. An engine at 70°F (21°C), should show 5000-6000 ohms. An engine at 200°F (93°C), should show 700-800 ohms. If not, replace sensor.
