No Code 88

  1. Disconnect diagnostic readout box from harness connector. Connect voltmeter between cavity No. 4 of engine harness connector and ground. Turn ignition switch to "RUN" position. Voltmeter should read 4-5 volts. Go to step 2). If voltage is not okay, go to step 2).
  2. Turn ignition switch off. Disconnect 14-wire connector from computer. Connect ohmmeter between cavity No. 2 of engine harness diagnostic connector and cavity No. 14 of computer 14-wire connector. If ohmmeter shows continuity, replace computer. If no continuity, inspect wire from cavity No. 14 to harness connector for open and repair.
  3. Disconnect diagnostic readout box. Turn ignition switch off. Disconnect 14-wire connector from computer. Connect ohmmeter between cavity No. 4 of engine harness connector and cavity No. 1 of computer 14-wire connector. If ohmmeter shows continuity, replace computer. If no continuity, inspect wire from cavity No. 1 to engine harness for an open circuit and repair.
