Steering Column: Description

Steering columns are designed to collapse upon impact. Steering shaft is a collapsible, 2-piece unit. Steering shaft sections are connected with "U" joints. Steering shaft connects to steering gear with a "U" joint.

CAUTION: Applying excessive pressure, or causing impact to mainshaft during service, may cause the column to collapse.
