EGR System: Description

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system recirculates a predetermined amount of hot exhaust gas to intake manifold to dilute incoming air/fuel mixture. This reduces combustion temperature, thereby reducing oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emissions.
