Releasing Fuel Pressure

To release fuel pressure from fuel injection system, loosen gasoline cap to release tank pressure. Remove wiring harness connector from injector. Ground one injector terminal with a jumper wire. Connect jumper wire to second terminal and touch battery positive post for no longer than 10 seconds. Remove jumper wires.

CAUTION: Fuel system is under pressure. Release fuel pressure from the fuel system prior to performing any service procedures or repairs on the fuel system. If any fuel hoses are replaced, ensure replacement hoses are marked "EFI/EFM".
