Electronic Control Module (ECM): Mem-Cal

To allow one model of ECM to be used in different vehicles, a device called MEM-CAL used. The MEM-CAL is located inside the ECM and contains information pertaining to vehicle weight, engine, transmission, axle ratio and other powertrain related variables. The MEM-CAL is very specific and must be used with the correct vehicle.
