Testing Compression

  1. Disconnect wire from coil. Check compression with engine at normal operating temperature, all spark plugs removed, and throttle valve wide open.
  2. Install compression gauge. Crank each cylinder through 4 compression strokes. Compression pressure should be 159-188 psi (11.2-13.3 kg/cm2 ).
