Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System Customization: Notes

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system allows driver to operate several vehicle features from outside vehicle using a hand held radio transmitter. Pressing TRUNK RELEASE button will release trunk lid if vehicle is in Park. Pressing transmitter ALARM button will cause interior lights to illuminate, horn to sound intermittently and headlights to flash for 2 minutes or until button is Pressed again or ignition switch is turned to RUN position.

Pressing UNLOCK button once, unlocks driver's door and illuminates interior lights for 40 seconds or until ignition switch is turned to RUN position. Pressing UNLOCK button a second time within 5 seconds, unlocks all doors and illuminates interior lights. Pressing LOCK button locks all doors, and interior lights turn off immediately. Pressing lock button a second time within 5 seconds, sounds horn and flashes headlights to confirm vehicle is locked.
