Programming Verification

  1. Using scan tool, clear DTCs.
  2. Start engine.
  3. If engine does not start, or engine operates poorly, repeat service programming procedure function from scan tool. Perform following procedures before programming PCM:
    • Ensure PCM and DLC connections are okay.
    • Ensure Techline operating software is up to date.
    • Ensure calibration part number is correct for vehicle.
  4. Program the PCM. If PCM still cannot be programmed properly, replace the PCM. See POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Replacement PCM must be programed.
