Theft Deterrent Control Module: Removal

  1. Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
  2. Remove steering column trim covers. See STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES - AZTEK article.
  3. Remove theft deterrent module wiring harness from steering column wiring harness.
  4. Disconnect harness connector.
  5. Pull theft deterrent module (2) away from lock cylinder housing (1). See Figure.
