Self-Diagnostic System: Notes

Always begin system diagnosis with diagnostic system check. Diagnostic system check will provide following information:

• Identification of control modules which command system.
• Ability of control modules to communicate through serial data circuit.
• Identification of any stored DTCs and their status.

Using diagnostic system check will aid in identifying correct procedure for diagnosing system and where procedure is located.
