Installation Procedure

  1. Install the inflatable restraint module (1) to the I/P.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the I/P nuts to the inflatable restraint module.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the inflatable restraint module connector.
  4. Install the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 .
