Installation Procedure

IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during battery installation.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the battery hold down retainer and bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the battery hold down retainer bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  2. Connect the positive battery cable bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the battery positive cable terminal bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  3. Connect the negative battery cable bolt. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE  .
