Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  2. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering System.
  3. Remove the positive cable from the generator:
    1. Pull the cap back from the positive terminal.
    2. Remove the positive cable nut at the generator.
    3. Remove the positive cable from the stud.

  5. Disconnect the generator electrical connector (3).

  7. Remove the generator rear bracket mounting bolt (1).

  9. Remove the generator front mounting bolts.
  10. Remove the generator from the vehicle.
