Removal Procedure

    IMPORTANT: You must perform the new body control module (BCM) setup when replacing the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LA1) in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the console accessory wiring junction block. Refer to Console Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement in Wiring Systems.
  3. Fig 1: BCM Retaining Lever

  4. Rotate the BCM retaining lever (1) to release the BCM from the console accessory wiring junction block.
  5. Remove the BCM (2) from the console accessory wiring junction block.
