Installation Procedure

  1. Position the NEW fuel sender assembly O-ring onto the fuel tank.

  2. Install the fuel sender (2) into the fuel tank. Ensure that the tab is in the proper location.
  3. Push down the fuel sender and position the lock ring (1) onto the fuel tank.
    4. IMPORTANT: Do not all the tool to come in contact with the male pipe ends while locking the lock ring.
  4. Rotate the lock ring clockwise using the J 45722 until fully seated.
  5. Connect the fuel line to the sender. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .
  6. Connect the EVAP line to the sender. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  7. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
