Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator to the generator bracket.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the generator bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the generator bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .

  4. Install the generator electrical connector.
  5. Install the generator B+ lead.
  6. Install the generator B+ terminal nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the generator B+ terminal nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  7. Install the battery ground (negative) cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
