Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S1), Exhaust Pipe Hanger, Springs And Bolts

  1. Install the front pipe to the vehicle.
  2. Install the front pipe to the front pipe hanger (2).
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the following components to the front pipe to the TWC exhaust pipe:
    • The 2 springs
    • The 2 bolts

      Tighten:  Tighten the front pipe-to-TWC exhaust pipe bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  4. Install the following components to the exhaust manifold:
    • The 2 springs
    • The 2 bolts

      Tighten:  Tighten the front pipe-to-exhaust manifold bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  5. Install the floor panel brace.

    Tighten:  Tighten the front pipe floor brace nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  6. Install the oxygen sensors. Refer to the following procedures:
  7. Lower the vehicle.
