Preliminary Procedure Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement . Program the theft deterrent control module after replacement. Refer to Control Module References .
1	Module Assembly, Theft Deterrent Tip: Pull out away from ignition cylinder and disconnect the electrical connector.
