Throttle Control (Closed Position)

  1. Ensure throttle is able to fully close when dashpot plunger is depressed. Remove harness connector from throttle switch. Ensure throttle is fully closed.
  2. Connect ohmeter across throttle switch terminals 1 and 2. See Fig 1 . Resistance should be present when throttle is closed. Move throttle to off-idle position. Resistance should not be present.

  3. If resistance is correct, proceed to THROTTLE CONTROL (OPEN POSITION)  test. If resistance is incorrect, loosen throttle switch adjusting screws and rotate switch to correct switch position.
