Steering Column: Description

Steering column collapses upon frontal impact. Steering shaft mounts in 2 needle bearing assemblies in column support. Column support mounts to crossmember under dash. An intermediate shaft, with universal joints at each end, transmits steering shaft movement to steering gear.
