Two-Port & On-Off EGR System
- Operate engine at normal operating temperature. Connect a tachometer to engine. Slowly raise engine speed. Note engine RPM at which valve begins to open. The valve spindle is visible between valve casting and valve bellows.
- Opening RPM should be within specification. See EGR VALVE SPECIFICATIONS table. Check EGR valve and thermostatic valve if RPM is not within specification.
