Two-Port & On-Off

With engine idling, disconnect EGR valve vacuum hose at thermostatic valve. Connect vacuum pump to hose. Operate vacuum pump to create a vacuum within EGR valve. Engine idle should become rough or stall. Replace EGR valve if idle was not affected.
