To remove

  1. Remove the steering column assembly and put it on a bench.
    NOTE: The sections of the steering shaft are keyed so that they only fit together in one way.
  2. Mark the steering shaft with a felt-tip pen on both sides of the steering shaft tube.

  3. Pull apart the steering column assembly.
  4. Remove the lock screw.
  5. Carefully press in the catch and remove the bracket.
  6. Remove the circlip and the spring washer.

  7. Dismantle the bearing carrier with bearing.
  8. Remove the steering wheel angle sensor.
