Brake Warning Indicator Inoperative
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using test light, ensure there is current at instrument cluster circuit No. 39C (Pink/Black wires) from instrument panel junction block.
- If current does not exist, check IGN1 fuse (10-amp) in instrument panel junction block. If current does exist, connect a fused jumper wire between instrument panel junction block circuit No. 33B (Tan/White wire) and ground.
- Brake warning indicator should be on. If indicator is off, check indicator bulb. Check circuit No. 33B (Tan/White wire) for open. If wire and bulb are okay, replace instrument cluster.
- If brake warning indicator came on when jumper wire was connected, check circuits No. 33, 33C and 33E (Tan/White wire) for open. If no open is found, check parking brake switch and low fluid switch and ground circuits (Black wires). See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INDICATOR SWITCHES RESISTANCE table under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
