Speedometer Inaccurate

  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select "1.5 MPH/8KPH ()". Note speedometer position, then continue until all test points have been checked.
  2. If speedometer is within 2 MPH at each test point, system is okay. Check tire size and option bit if speedometer is inaccurate. If speedometer is not within 2 MPH, check all system connectors and wiring. If all circuits are okay, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
