The Passlock(tm) system is designed to prevent vehicle theft by disabling the engine, unless a mechanical key is used to correctly engage the Passlock(tm) lock cylinder. System components include ignition switch, Passlock(tm) lock cylinder, Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC), Engine Control Module (ECM) on V6 models, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) on 4-cylinder models, and Body Control Module (BCM).
