Control Assembly: Removal

  1. Disable SIR System. See AIR BAG DEACTIVATION PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION. Remove console. See FLOOR CONSOLE  .
  2. Using a screwdriver disconnect control cable end from pin on control assembly. Remove control cable retaining clip. See Figure . Depress tabs on control cable and remove cable from control assembly.
  3. Disconnect control assembly electrical connectors. See Figure . Remove control assembly-to-floor pan bolts and remove control assembly. See Figure .
