Control Assembly: Installation

  1. Install control assembly and tighten bolts to 18 ft lbs. (25 N.m). See Fig 4 .
  2. Connect control assembly electrical connectors. Install indicator bulb by inserting and rotating 1/4 turn. See Fig 3 .
  3. Install park lock cable onto control assembly. Connect park lock cable onto control assembly pin. See Fig 2 . Install shifter cable onto control assembly. See Fig 1 .
  4. Secure with shifter cable retainer clip. Connect shifter cable onto control assembly pin.
  5. Install the console assembly. See CONSOLE ASSEMBLY  . Enable SIR system. See AIR BAG DEACTIVATION PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
