Perform the Diagnostic System Check-Engine Controls before starting. See DIAGNOSTIC STARTING POINT - ENGINE CONTROLS under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - 3.0L SATURN "L" SERIES article. The fault must be present to locate a problem using the DTC table. If a fault is intermittent, the use of DTC tables may result in the replacement of good parts.
