Installation Procedure

  1. Position the exhaust resonator into the vehicle and install the isolators.

    IMPORTANT: Do not tighten the clamp and crush the exhaust pipe.
  2. Slide the muffler assembly onto the exhaust resonator and tighten the clamp.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the exhaust resonator to the exhaust manifold pipe and tighten the fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the exhaust manifold pipe-to-resonator bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  4. Lower the vehicle from the hoist.
  5. Check the entire exhaust system for leaks.
