Installation Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  1. Install the ECT and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  2. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) to the ECT sensor.
  3. Install the heat shield around the electrical connector, if necessary.
  4. Fill the cooling system as needed. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE-47716) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (2.4L LE5) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill-LNF) .
