Intake Manifold: Installation

  1. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD 
    1. Install the throttle hose.

    2. Install the union to connector tube hose.
    3. Install the vacuum hose clamp with bolt.

      Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf)

    4. Install the No. 2 ventilation hose.
    5. Install a new gasket onto the intake manifold.

    6. Install the intake manifold with the 5 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque: 30 N*m (306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf)

    7. Install the union to connector tube hose.

    8. Install the No. 2 ventilation hose.

  2. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the 4 new injector vibration insulator onto the cylinder head.
    2. Install the No. 1 delivery pipe spacer.

    3. Install the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    4. Install the fuel tube sub-assembly.

    5. Install the wire harness.
    6. Connect the injector assembly connector and camshaft oil control valve assembly connector.
    7. Connect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

  3. CONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the fuel tube sub-assembly.

    2. Install the EFI pipe clamp.
  4. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE  (See INSTALLATION )

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  11. INSTALL HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL  (See INSTALLATION )
  12. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  13. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  14. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  15. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  (See REPLACEMENT )
  16. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
