Transmission Control Cable Assembly: Removal

REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX COVER (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE BATTERY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
1. Remove the 2 bolts and the nut and remove the front No. 1 floor heat insulator.

REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

2. Turn the nut and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever retainer.

3. Disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission control cable support.

4. Remove the nut and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control shaft lever.
5. Remove the clip and separate the transmission control cable assembly from the control cable bracket.
6. Remove the 3 nuts and remove the transmission control cable assembly.
