Lower Instrument Panel: Installation

  1. INSTALL POWER OUTLET SOCKET COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  2. INSTALL POWER OUTLET SOCKET ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL CUSHION 
    1. Install the cushion to the lower instrument panel.

  4. INSTALL STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the stereo jack adapter (AUX).

    2. Engage the 2 claws and install the stereo jack adapter (i Pod).

  5. INSTALL LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the light control rheostat.

  6. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the outer mirror switch.

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SEAL 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the instrument cluster finish panel seal.

  8. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the claw and install the glove compartment door stopper.

  9. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the lower instrument panel.
    2. Connect the 7 clamps.

    3. Install the lower instrument panel with the 5 < D > or < E > screws, < H > screw, < I > screw, and 2 < F > bolts.

      HINT:

      The < E > screws have larger diameter and should be used for repair installation.

    4. Engage the 2 claws and install the DLC3 connector.

  10. INSTALL ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the 3 clamps and install the antenna cord.

  11. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 claws to connect the hood lock control lever.

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET 
    1. Install the radio bracket with the 2 bolts.

  13. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET 
    1. Install the radio bracket with the 2 bolts.

  14. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX 
    1. Insert the instrument panel box.

    2. Engage the 2 hinges with the instrument panel open.
    3. Close the instrument panel box.
  15. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER TRAY 
    1. Engage the clip and 6 claws and install the instrument panel under tray.
    2. Install the 2 < A > screws.

    3. Engage the 4 claws and install the instrument panel under tray.

  16. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX 
    1. Engage the clip and 2 claws and install the front console box.

    2. Install the 2 < H > screws.

  42. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

  43. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
