Fuel Injector

Injector receives power when ignition switch is in "ON" position. ECU controls injector ground circuit to energize injector. Sensor input signals are used to determine injector duration (on time).

During certain deceleration modes (throttle valve closed and engine speed greater than 1000 RPM) and acceleration modes ECU will activate its fuel cut-off control function by de-energizing injectors. This improves fuel economy and prevents engine from over-revving.
