NOK ASV-I

  1. Remove air suction/cut-off valve from engine. Detach three screws and separate cut-off valve assembly and reed valve cover. Remove reed valve assembly and gasket from inside reed valve cover.
  2. Apply vacuum to vacuum inlet pipe to determine if cut-off valve is operating normally. Check reed valve assembly gasket for cracks or other damage.
  3. After washing in gasoline, check reed valve assembly for cracks, waves or dents in reed valve seat, cracked or broken point of reed valve and/or rusty stopper. Replace components as necessary. Using new gasket, complete reassembly by reversing disassembly procedure. Reinstall air suction valve assembly. See Fig 1 .
