Tune-Up - 4-CYL: Specifications: Ignition: Distributor
Nippondenso breakerless, electronic distributors are used in 2WD models and in 4WD 1.8L models with automatic transmissions. Hitachi distributors are used in 4WD 1.8L models with manual transmissions and 4WD 1.8L Turbo models with automatic transmissions.
Distributors for 1.8L Turbo models retard timing during turbocharger operation, and permit normal advance at other times.
