Sensor Range Charts

Sensor operating range information can help determine if a sensor is out of calibration. An out-of-calibration sensor may not set a trouble code, but it may cause driveability problems.

NOTE: All voltage tests should be performed with a Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM) with a minimum 10-megohm input impedance, unless stated otherwise in test procedure.
AIRFLOW METER VOLTAGE TEST

Application (1) (2) Wire Colors (3) Volts
Legacy (4) 0-0.3
Loyale
1.8L PFI (5) 1.0-2.0
1.8L TBI White & Black 0.1-0.5
XT & XT6 White & Black/Red 1.0-2.0
(1) Justy models are not equipped with airflow meter.
(2) Connect voltmeter between these 2 terminals of airflow meter connector.
(3) Voltage should be higher when blowing air through inlet side of airflow meter.
(4) Turn ignition on. Connect voltmeter between ground and pin No. 9 of 22-pin ECU connector.
(5) Connect voltmeter between Black/Red terminal and sealed wire terminal next to unused terminal.
AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE (JUSTY - CARBURETED) (1)
