Hydraulic Unit

  1. Check valve relay and motor relay. Replace as needed. Disconnect LF and RF brakelines from hydraulic unit. Install brake pressure gauges in hydraulic unit. Bleed air from gauges.
  2. Connect diagnosis terminals to DLC terminal No. 3 and No. 6. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Depress brake pedal to a gauge reading of 498 psi (35 kg/cm2 ) within .5 second after warning light goes out. This will initiate sequence control. Ensure clutch is not depressed and engine is not started. Check solenoid hold and release pressures. Replace hydraulic unit if pressures are not as specified. Repeat test at rear brakelines.
