Electronic Control Module (Control System)

The ECM receives signals sent from various sensors and switches. To provide the optimum control and/or functioning of various systems, the ECM then analyzes the engine operating condition and emit output signals.

The following major items are controlled by the ECM:

• Fuel Injection Control
• Ignition System Control
• Idle Air Control
• Canister Purge Control
• ECR System Control (AT Model Only)
• Radiator Fan Control
• Fuel Pump Control
• Air Conditioner Cut Control
• On-Board Diagnosis Function
